Shirataki Pasta Alfredo

Sometimes we just miss pasta. Say it with me, there’s no shame.

Sometimes we just miss pasta.

The good news is actually that there are pasta alternatives on the market that taste just like pasta but are both gluten and carb free.

How is it possible? Shirataki noodles are made from a specific type of yam in which most of it is actually indigestible fiber.

It has very little calories as well, making it the perfect noodle substitute for keto, diabetic, and gluten free diets.

The pasta versions are blended with psyllium husk which are also keto friendly to give it the proper color and texture of regular pasta noodles.

You can find them in the health food section of your local grocery store, so pick up a couple of packs since you can make a lot of different dishes with them.

Some people complain of a fishy smell due to the liquid they’re packed in, so make sure you preboil and rinse them well before use.
